Sailor Stripes...

This week is all about a theme of marrying my two favorite colors: Navy and Pink. Over the next few days you will see varied ways I use to create ensembles with this color scheme. I have two statements to make with these looks, that (1) baby girls absolutely can wear Navy and still look like a girl, and (2) that white isn't the only color it can be paired with. I say be bold with color.

Here we have my favorite summer jumper in navy stripes. Winter months can't stop me from wearing some of my favorite summer clothes.  I layered my jumper with a poppy pink long sleeve tee and navy leggings with button details on the ankles. My sailor girl bucket hat and pink flats complete the look. Warm, comfortable and stylish - just what every girl strives for.

Wild Child...

Mondays can be hurried and chaotic. I barely have enough time to dictate this blog to my mom. So to make things easier on my mommy, I chose a matching 2 piece outfit. I rarely wear these types of outfits because I much prefer to express my creative side. However, anything with an animal print is sure to show my inner wild child.

This is an Emily Rose 2 piece with varied patterns and textures. The bold zebra print in courdoroy against the bright pink empire waist top in cotton, detailed with a black and white polka dot ribbon, just makes me want to scream with glee. And I do, quite often to my mom's displeasure. Then add the pair of matching pink pants with the bows on the ankles, and I'm prepared for any untamed environment... such as kids care. I fear nothing, not even mixing prints with a pair of leopard flats.

Ooh baby baby it's a wild world. CC

Tea Party ...

Sweet and delicate is the theme of the day. If I was having a tea party with some of my best friends, what shall I wear?

I'd start with an Earl Grey eyelet, tank dress that displays soft whispers of loveliness. Then I would cover my tiny shoulders in a pewter-grey knit shrug, and the most darling cream colored crocheted flats. It's just not English tea without cream. Polish my look with a pink and cream headband and white tights for warmth. Now I look as sweet as a plate of butter cookies. Don't forget to bundle up with a grey fur-trimmed coat and fuscia knit cap.

Putting together a brill look is as simple as a cup of English Breakfast. Go ahead- look smashing at your own tea party.

 Bye for now dahling, CC

Groovy Kind Of Love ...

Being the lovely baby sister that I am, today was all about spending quality time with my handsome brother. I would describe our relationship as equal parts love and hate - we love each other dearly but he hates it when I play with his toys. What can I say? Sometimes its fun to rock the boat a little.

Chilly winds are still blowing, but that won't deter me from a groovy little look. My 70's inspired frock top will do the trick. With its big floral pattern in a purple and aqua color pallete, my blue eyes get brighter. Put on a bucket hat in the same color pallete and you hardly notice the differing patterns. Throw on my favorite purple skinny jeans, smoky-grey sweater coat and Way-Farers, and off to play we go. Totally his choice on venue, not mine.

We definitely got a groovy kind of love. Tomorrow is all mine, CC

Whimsical Wear...

What better way to liven up a boring day indoors, than to dress up in something fun and whimsy? Nothing can take center stage better than a pink tutu!

Girly girl I may be, so dress me up in frilly layers of pink tulle, complete with pretty pink ribbon bows. I just may become a future dancer, so lets keep these legs warm with some adorable navy and pink polka dot leggings. Complete the ensemble with a pink tee detailed with embroidered flowers, pink ballet flats and a pink flower headband and achieving star status is as easy as devouring a bowl of cheerios.

Life is a stage so lets dress the part. Tutelu, CC

Casual Friday...

Fridays are a day for play and running errands with mom, so going with a comfortable look is a natural choice. Unfortunately, we are in the height of winter chill, so keeping cozy warm is a must. No frumpy baby here - I may not be wearing my preference of skirts and sandals but I can still look cute and stylish.

These fuscia pink straight-leg pants were calling my name. To offset, I went with a sky blue sundress that just makes my baby blues pop, and layered a fuscia pink cable knit cardi for warmth.  Pull on my Ugg style boots to keep these teeny tootsies toasty, then I can safely say "let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.."

California Dreamin...

I know without a doubt that I am a total beach baby, just like my momma. We were meant to live amongst sunshine, sand and palm trees. So today we are escaping this cold winter day by doing some California dreaming.

Going with a relaxed look of a pink v-neck tunic, embroirdered with white flowers, over my favorite pair of dark skinny jeans is simply... easy. Pair that with flowered embellished sandals and a summer fresh white and pink bucket hat, and walking the shoreline of Huntington Beach will be a breeze. Oh, I can't forget my black Ray-Ban's.

West Coast here I come.... CC

Got the Blues...

A much needed winter break is calling my name. It says "come here my Santorini Sweetie". Ah to be in the Mediterranean, sitting in an open cafe, sipping frappes, surrounded by white stucco homes trimmed in Greek blue, and fashion watching.... Well until then I will have to satisfy my cravings with some blue and white.

This was surely a time when my Greek inspired leggings were needed. Coupled with a white eyelet henley, and a navy cardigan and I will surely fit the Grecian baby part. Slip on a pair of pink ballet flats for a pop of color and I'm off to .... the local Starbucks for now.

La Tee Da...

When I have visions of fairytales, I must follow that up by wearing an emsemble that is sweet and whimsy. What better way to make that statement than with polka-dots and bows?

Nothing says I Love You better than poppy pink and chocolate brown together. Ah, except maybe some Godiva chocolates. Here I have my sweet pink polka-dot tank dress, that has a pretty white ribbon bow on the empire waistline. The winter chill is still in the air, so pairing the dress with my chocolate brown cords, complete with embroidered details, is a no brainer. Polish the look off with a white cardi, chocolate brown headband and pink ballet flats.

All I can say is have a La Tee Da kind of day.... Smooches, CC

America's Sweetheart...

With adorable being my second middle name, some days I just have to play the part. Going with the All-American look of relaxed-fit jeans with rolled cuffs, my brother's old polo body suit, a fuscia knitted cardigan, and plum mary-janes makes me feel like the pretty little girl next door.

I'll be sure to leave a "sweet girl" impression with my chambray head-band. I swear I'm as sweet as I look.

Visit me again soon, CC

Plum Crazy

Sometimes a baby just has to get away from those pinks, so why not go crazy over shades of plum and grape?

A cotton grape tunic with tiny floral patterns and ruffle detailing down the front, over purple skinny jeans are enough to get me in the jewel tone mood. Add in my plum hued mary janes and matching knit cap with the flower embellishment, and now I'm feeling like a chic little toddler. Don't forget to cover up with a darling pale yellow pea coat.

Isn't life grape! Much love, CC
