Holiday Weekend Wear...

When you live in Southern California, everyday feels like a holiday with the warm weather and abundance of sunshine. It's a glorious Holiday weekend, so why not take a road trip to our own local Riviera, also known as Santa Barbara. I know my adventurous spirit comes directly from my momma... as well as my baby fashion sense. Looking stylish yet staying cool, in Santa Barbara is a must!

My mom was brave enough to allow me to wear my pretty white eyelet button-down top. (This may end up being a one-time appearance when I'm through with it.) The boat neckline, cap sleeves and A-line cut is a perfect look for any Riviera, or beach party. I've paired it with my navy, light cotton capris that are embroired in dainty white stitching. A winning combo if  you ask me. My denim ballet flats with cute flower details and a red and white headband complete this festive ensemble. It is possible to be patriotic and still oh so chic.

Thanking all those that serve our Country, especially my very own Uncle David. See you soon, CC

Polo Match Days....

When your social calendar is full of events that call for casual yet sophisticated apparel, a polo outfit is the perfect choice. The statement says I'm an All-American girl who loves her fashion. This is multi-purpose outfit that works for the park, a stop at Menchie's for frozen yogurt, a shopping trip, or a Polo Match. Life is good in the toddler fashion world.

I'm wearing a beige Polo shirt-dress. The multi-colored buttons detailing the front give it a cutesy look, while the collared neck looks polished. A skinny belt on the waistline gives the dress some contouring. Let's finish it off with a pink and white striped sun hat and embellished pink thongs. So girly and stylish. Excuse me, my agent is calling.

Little Miss Sunshine...

Life in Southern Cali is all about sunshine. It's the ideal locale for my (mostly) sunny mood. The warm air is telling me it's summer, which calls for something light and cheery for story-time at the library today. Not many girls can pull off an all yellow ensemble and still look chic. Wink, wink.

This is a lemony hued eyelet dress with frilly cap-sleeves. The embroired empire waistline, detailed in pink ribbons gives an ultra feminine touch. Being the modest gal I am, I'm wearing pale yellow bloomers underneath. Embellished pink thong sandals and pink headband add a slight contrast without distracting from my pretty baby girl look. Must not forget the yellow sunshine glasses to protect my peepers.

I say go bananas and wear yellow. Sunshine lover, CC

Back in Black ... and white

Hi loyal readers of CC's blog. I'm very sorry for my hiatus. However, we had a big move to the West Coast and my mommy was busy with packing, moving and unpacking. Now that we are settled nicely in our new home and new town, I'm re-entering the toddler fashion scene with a whole new season of adorable summer fashion. My absolutely favorite season of apparel.

I'm starting off with an Island style look. Very simple yet oh so chic. A black and white print sundress is timeless and with the hibiscus flower print, it makes me feel like I'm lounging in a tropical paradise. A simple pairing of a pink flower headband is the perfect accessory, and my favorite thong sandals give just the right Island girl look.

I'm so loving this Cali sunshine. Much luv, CC

Easter Bunny's Best...

I hope everybunny had a fabulous Easter. I surely did. As I say, life is like an Easter basket, sweet and full of surprises. Best of all, it's a holiday when you are "required" to wear a fancy new outfit. Um, new clothes, candy, toys AND spring weather? That tops the list of favorite holidays for me. However, I might be changing my tune at Christmas time this year in California.

This special occassion called for a dress that was pretty, dainty, and not pink. After some shopping, I found this pretty white eyelet dress,  detailed with fabric flowers that adds just a touch of pink, pink straps and an empire waist. A darling white knit cardigan, lacy white socks and white shoes keeps the look monochromatic and the focus on the details of the dress. A soft pink flower headband is perfect for this doll baby look. ... On my big brother, you'll see him in a comfortable look of a striped long-sleeve polo and easy fit, distressed jeans.

Next up, summer at the beach. Bye Bye bunny, CC

So Minnie....

Today I'm deriving all my inspiration from one of my favorite fashion icons, Minnie Mouse. Show me a 1 year old girl who isn't fascinated by the cute and sweet Minnie, and I'll show you a pig that can actually fly. It must be her signature style of pink, polka dots and bows, oh my!

Starting with my adorable poppy pink tank dress, adorned with a silky white bow on the empire waistline, and white polka dots just screams "Disneyland here I come". Layered over a pair of slate gray leggings and under a smokey gray knit cardigan, keeps the look from getting too whimsical. A pair of dainty white ballet flats are a perfect match. Let's not forget the signature hair bow - mine is a bright pink and white flower clipped on a white headband. Too cute for words.

Oh Toodles.... CC's clubhouse

Paint the Town...

I'm back and I'm painting the town red! I've been on hiatus due to travels and packing. Yes, we are finally heading West soon, and I can already feel the sand on my toes and the sun on my face. Ahh! So before I go, I have some loose ends to tie up here, such as leaving my style mark on Ol' Milwaukee. As I always say, "go bold or go home."

For just this occasion, I picked out my most daring red ensemble. Who wouldn't shine in a cherry red long sleeve tee with sparkly bling on the front? I've paired it with my darling red knit leggings belled in frilly red tulle ankles. My velvet red ballet flats give just the perfect feminine touch. Let's not forget accessories - cream headband with a clip-on red bow brings it all together. I'm sure to be the shining star of the playgroup.

"I'm leavin, on a jet plane, don't know when I'll be back again." Bye for now, CC

Spring Chick...

The forecast is calling for warm sunshine all week long, making it a great time to break out one of my favorite sundresses. I love sundresses and bare feet so much that my mommy has started calling me her little spring chicken. Whatever that means? I'll just assume the best for now. Such as, with Easter swiftly approaching, I'll assume a shopping spree full of brand new dresses and sandals is coming my way.

The tiered ruffled layers of this dress look sweet yet chic with the mint green, teal and fuscia print. I'm feeling more like a pretty peacock than a clunky chicken. I positively love the fuscia stitching detail along the seams. Carrying the fuscia throughout the ensemble, gives this a pulled-together look with the mary janes and knit cardi. My pink flower headband keeps me looking like a soft baby chick. Easy and simple yet completely adorable.

As I say, chic is better than chick. Bye Bye Birdie, CC

Palm Beach....

When the warm weather hits, all I can think of is looking beach ready. Today I'm going with one of my classic looks called "Palm Beach meets Midwest". I adore the classic Navy and crisp white look in a tailored outfit. It states that I'm sophisticated and polished at the ripe old age of one. Who isn't? With a stylish look like this, I will be ready for lunch on the dock, cruising on the boat, and even shopping at the waterfront boutiques. Or in my case today, the local park. Sigh. I believe I missed my boat.

My white poplin capris timmed in the navy bows, are as classic as they are comfortable. (Don't worry moms out there; my mommy dunks all my clothes in Oxi-Clean before washing, so the stains come right out.) Coupled with my sleeveless A-line navy and white floral top says I'm a baby with a polished look. For accessories, I went with my timeless white bucket hat with the Navy ribbons and white ballet flats. Layer a pretty navy cardigan in case its chilly, and you'll stay in keeping with the classic Palm Beach look. Don't forget the best accessory ever, your family English Bulldog all in white!

Yachting anyone? Sea you starboard, CC

Easy Sunday....

Today I'm feeling Lionel Richie easy.  Easy like Sunday morning. Like most people, my Sundays are relaxing, fun and easy, especially when the sun is shining down. So choosing a chic yet casual ensemble will suit any activity that comes my way, whether it's the swings or the slide.

What could be more American casual than a white t-shirt and jeans? Starting with my coolest white henley, complete with an eyelet neckline and rolled button sleeves, gives this baby a definite hip look for the playgound. On the bottom I'm wearing my chambray capris with pink buttons- light and cool for warmer days. Overlay a fuscia pink knit sleeveless cardi for a pop of color, and I'll stay warm even if those lake winds start blowing. Accessories are a must, so white flats and layering a white and chambray headband give me the absolute adorable look I'm going for. With an outfit like this, I have no doubts I'll be the hippest toddler in the sandbox.

Lionel Richie said it right, "I wanna be free, just me babe."  Have an easy breezy day, CC

Luck O' The Irish...

Happy St. Patty's Day! Little lady leprechaun here wishing each one of you find your own pot of gold. I know I found mine, and it's in the form of this adorably festive ensemble. You'll find that I like to dress for the occassion but in an understated kind of way. You will not find me in an over-the-top green outfit complete with shamrock stockings and clover antennaes on my head. Keeping my fashion sense is a must - even for a one year old.

Who knew hot pink and emerald green would look so good together? My cap-sleeve, A-line emerald top is a must-wear solution to this warm spring day. The ruched neckline and cute little buttons add just a touch of detail. I wanted something bright and slimming for my legs, so I chose my hot pink skinny jeans. With its tiny little back pockets and brown stitching along the seams, make these pants anything but ordinary. Jeweled thong sandals keep these toes in the breeze. And my final accessories are my cute shamrock barrette bows in hot pink and green and black Ray-Ban style glasses. Since my hair hasn't quite come into it's own yet, I'm just adding them to my headbands for now.

Have a shamrock kind of day. Lucky lil' CC

Spring Forward...

I know everyone is in agreement with me when I say, I love longer sunnier warmer days. Who is the brilliant mind to come up with "Spring Forward"? I suddenly have the urge to dig out all my spring fashion and have multiple wardrobe changes in one day. I figure if I just stain up my outfit, then my mom is forced to change it (wink, wink). And you thought us babies spilled our drinks on accident. Skirts and shorts and flowy tops make my heart skip a beat. I know one day, I will get my dream of living near the beach so I can live in spring and summer fashion year round.

Cute and flirty is the name of the game today. I'm springing forward in my best sky blue mini-skirt. Pair it with a white flowy top, complete with embroidered flowers, multi-colored threading along the neckline, and frilly cap sleeves, states I'm fun and flirty. My fuschia pink knee-high socks are a bold statement saying, I'm not afraid of bright colors. Pink cardi, mary janes and white headband are the perfect compliments to this ensemble. Props to my big bro for going with a cool rugged look of camel cargos, striped polo and military style jacket.

Now if I can just catch that little boy's eye on the swing next to me....

Oops spilled again. On to my next wardrobe change. Ah, the life of a fashion maven. CC

Nothing But Blue Skies...

Blue skies, smiling at me, nothing but blue skies, do I see. I am showing off my love for spring with colors that are reminiscent of clear blue summer skies and Caribbean blue water. So long winter blahs. Need I say more?

Starting with my sky blue sleeveless dress, with a slight ruffle bottom. Layered over a pair of navy and pink polka dot leggings for contrast. A ruffle front midnight cardigan, adds just enough feminine flair. Don't forget a pastel pink flower for my hair, just to remind everyone how girly I am. This is the perfect outfit to make this baby's blue eyes shine.

Bing Crosby said it best .... nothing but blue skies from now on. Toodles my tiny tulip. CC
